A Message from our Executive Director
On Veterans Day we honor and give thanks to all Veterans and active military who have served our country. At Berkeley Food & Housing Project we have the great honor and privilege of working with Veterans everyday providing housing, food, job readiness, and linking to mental health and medical support.
This past year we opened our first Veterans dedicated home in Rio Vista. Our partners at Habitat for Humanity Solano-Napa, said “the word homelessness and Veteran should never be used in the same sentence,” and I couldn’t agree more. BFHP marked 10 years of service to Veterans this past year and will serve Veterans until there are no longer any Veterans experiencing homeless.
BFHP thanks all Veterans for their services, especially those among our clients, staff, and supporters.
