#GivingTuesday – Join the Movement!

#GivingTuesday is an international day of giving that occurs on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Individuals, companies, and organizations come together to celebrate generosity and give back to their communities.

This year #GivingTuesday is on December 1^st, and BFHP is hoping to raise $2,000 to make the holiday season a little brighter for our clients. Funds raised on Giving Tuesday this year will go toward delivering special, hand-packed holiday gift bags to every resident in our Dwight Way shelter and Russell Street Residence facility.

Every year, we do our best to ensure each of our clients has a gift to open during the holidays. This year, with the onset of COVID-19, record heat waves, and the harsh wildfire season, we feel it’s more important than ever to bring a spark of joy and holiday cheer to as many as possible.

The gifts bags will contain a mix of useful items, holiday treats, and a gift card to purchase whatever additional items each resident might need.

How to participate

• Donate on Facebook or on our website on December 1^st.
• Share your connection to BFHP on social media.  Share the story of why you support BFHP (tag us and use the hashtag #GivingTuesday).
• Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and Reshare our social media posts.
• Start a fundraiser on Facebook or Instagram:
