Employees of the Quarter (Q2 2022)

Please join us in appreciating the winners of our quarterly Employee Recognition Program! Each quarter we celebrate BFHP staff members who go above and beyond to help us carry out our mission.

Fatima Fuentes, Senior Program Manager, SSVF Bay Area Region

Fatima has worked diligently to improve and implement better processes at SSVF program. She frequently exceeds expectations in being a team player, as demonstrated by her willingness to share her learnings and create and facilitate several training series for fellow team members. Fatima has redefined what it means to be a team player this quarter! By rolling up her sleeves and jumping into action to support staff and programs, supporting high-need clients, and resolving issues with property owners while remaining professional, positive, and humble. Fatima always advocates for her team, and her client-focused thinking helps to ensure BFHP consistently provides quality services to the most vulnerable people in our community. Fatima, Thank you for all that you do!

Grant Wekesser, Executive Assistant

Grant has been instrumental in the smooth functioning of the office of CEO and successfully wears multiple hats. While managing his own responsibilities, he has continued to help the Development team with various events and initiatives. During the past quarter, he helped the meals program with streamlining their tracking process during an event and organized regional picnics to bring all staff together.  Grant does this all with a smile and a positive attitude. He never hesitates to offer his help. Grant, Thank you for all that you do!

Gail Royster, Housing Navigator, SSVF Contra Costa

Gail supports and effectively collaborates well with BFHP team and outside agencies’ staff. She goes beyond her regular Housing Navigator duties to assist in training new staff and provides support to client not on her caseload. She is instrumental in the development of the landlord relationships created to properly house our clients in affordable, and stable environment. Gail maintained the entire Contra Costa client caseload during the transition of our Lead HN. She also supported in the training of our newest Contra Costa HN. She continues to meet and sometimes exceed the number of clients housed and establish on-going relationships with landlords.  Gail, Thank you for all that you do!
