BFHP Helps City of Albany House People Experiencing Homelessness During Crisis
People Experiencing Homelessness in Albany Temporarily Housed

City of Albany essential services continue during the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Albany’s Project HOPE, in collaboration with the City’s service provider Berkeley Food & Housing Project (BFHP), has temporarily housed 10 people experiencing homelessness in Albany in hotel rooms, and provided food and basic need items. BFHP continues to provide support to these individuals.
The City’s Project HOPE (Housing Opportunities Expanded), has been in place in Albany since 2013. Project HOPE is a critical service to our community and is committed to continuing to provide outreach, engagement and housing services to people experiencing homelessness in Albany during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Albany Project HOPE continues to look after the welfare of all housed clients and conduct outreach to people experiencing homelessness in Albany during the State Shelter in Place order.
