Formerly Berkeley Food & Housing Project
Here at Berkley Food and Housing Project, we are thinking of all clients, staff, and BFHP members in the communities we serve and the world as we navigate day to day through the COVID-19 epidemic.
During this time, BFHP is continuing our focus on the needs of our vulnerable clients. The current public health epidemic has placed our clients at a higher risk and we are doing everything we can to support them in a timely manner. This support includes keeping our Dwight Way shelter open 24/7 with increased staffing, continuing our daily community meal, and crucial on-going health and wellness check-ins. Additionally, Team Hope and the Roads Home Team (our veterans teams in 6 counties) is also working closely with local government to identify and place people into the hotel occupancies currently leased by the state.
If you are looking for ways to lend a hand, we are still in high need of the following safety and cleaning materials: N95 masks, hand sanitizer, disinfect wipes, bleach, gloves, paper towels and toilet paper.
Please email info@bfhp.org to coordinate dropping off donations. All donations are to be delivered to our Dwight Way location.
Monetary Donations on every level are still greatly needed as well. These funds can make a huge and immediate impact to keep up with the increased need for supplies, resources, and support for our clients during a difficult and trying time in our world.
Thank you for your support. We can’t continue to do this work without your help.
Be well and healthy.
